All humanity has a story to tell. From the most vulnerable individual to the celebrity. My job as a photographer, is to try and capture that story. My camera has led me around the world and through many doors that might ordinarily be closed. Royal palaces, tour buses, the corridors of government, film sets, the lives of the Irish Travelling community and the homes of WWII veterans.
As I work with our elder and marginal communities, on projects with AgeUK and my documentary project Reminiscences, I get a window into worlds that are both hidden and becoming forgotten. The camera has helped me realise that visual storytelling cannot only capture a moment but also help us better understand one another.
